CHAPTER 6
The secret was out. All over the papers. The headline was in The Sun. ‘Duncan Blue finds his soulmate’. I was happy, but also upset. Lee wasn’t speaking to either of us when he found out. He found out through the newspapers, which was even worse. I watched through the door as Lee looked at the newspaper in horror. Then he threw it on the floor and stormed out of the room. I put my head in my hands. I didn’t want it to turn out like this. I burst into tears and sobbed. “Sweetheart, what’s wrong? Are you ok?” I heard Duncan’s voice behind me. I felt him wrap his arms around me. “Lee knows, Dunc. He saw the newspaper” I sobbed, burying my face in his shirt. “Don’t worry about him, baby. He’ll come around” Duncan whispered, running his hands down my back. “Dunc, how did the newspapers find out? I don’t want this to ruin our relationship” I said, choking on my tears. I coughed, tasting the salty taste of my tears. Duncan tilted up my head with his hand. “It won’t, honey. I love you, and that’s all that matters. We don’t have to worry about what everyone else thinks, we need to concentrate on our love” He said, gently wiping the tears from my eyes. I nodded. “Forget about the newspapers, May. They’re just hungry for something to talk about” Duncan traced his fingers up my arm. “I know” I said, my voice hoarse. “Let’s well and truly forget about this, alright?” Duncan lead me into the main room. Lee was nowhere to be seen. In the main room, Duncan hooked his arms around me and kissed me. I kissed him back, but I wasn’t feeling up to it. When Duncan started kissing my neck, I pushed him away. “Dunc, I’m not in the mood” I said. Duncan let go of me. “Sweetheart, don’t let this get to you. I won’t have the stupid newspapers ruining the intimacy between us” He said, running his hands through his hair. “I want to take your mind off it” He continued. “I know. I’ll give you a massage, you’re very tense” Duncan moved around behind me, and started massaging my shoulders. I didn’t really feel like doing this right now. But I let him do it. Duncan finished, and slid his arms around my shoulders. “How you feeling now, baby?” He smiled his gorgeous smile. I shrugged. Duncan gently turned me around in his arms. “Baby, forget about them! I command you to!” Duncan put on a silly voice which made me giggle. “That’s what I wanted to see, my baby smile” Duncan grinned at me. I smiled, and Duncan beamed. “You know what you are to me?” He asked. “What?” I answered. “You’re my angel, you’re my honey, you’re my baby, you’re my sweetheart... I love you” Duncan whispered, looking into my eyes. I felt my heart melting. “That was so sweet, Dunc” I replied. Duncan smiled and kissed me. Finally, I felt like I was ready to go further with him. That confirmed his love for me. “Dunc... I want you to make love to me” I said, softly. “Really, baby? You sure?” Duncan said. I loved how he didn’t pressure me. “Yes” I said. “I’m so happy, honey. You want to give your virginity to me?” Duncan gazed into my eyes, his deep blue ones penetrating mine. “Yes...” I repeated. “Make love to me” I added. Duncan kissed me deeply, and I hoisted myself into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist. “I want you” I whispered, when we came up for air. “I want you too” Duncan replied, kissing me again. As we kissed, Duncan carried me into the bedroom. He laid me on the bed, and leaned over me. Before we could do anything else, my cellphone rang. It was in my back pocket. “Stupid phone!” I exclaimed, pulling it out my pocket. I was ready to throw it over Duncan’s shoulder, when I noticed the screen read ‘Michelle calling’. “You better answer it” Duncan said, with a groan. He got off me, and flopped next to me. We had learnt from experience, that ignoring Michelle’s calls, was not a good idea. “Hello?” I said into the phone. “Why didn’t you tell me you were with Duncan?” Michelle yelled into my ear. “Whoa, whoa! I did! About 50 times! Don’t you listen to me?” I said. Michelle was so clueless sometimes. “You did?” Michelle calmed down. “Yes!” I replied. “Oh. Well, anyway, I read the newspaper, and there was a article on it. Duncan was being interviewed” Michelle continued. “What?” I said, feeling a bit shocked. Duncan had said just before, that the newspapers made up anything. He told them? “Yeah, there was a whole one page interview with him. He was raving about you” Michelle answered. “I gotta go” I said, and hung up the phone quickly, feeling numb. How could Duncan have lied to me? I turned to look at him. “Why did you lie to me?” I asked. “What?” Duncan looked completely baffled. “About the newspapers. You said they just made stuff up, but Michelle just told me you did an interview with them. The very one Lee was reading!” I exclaimed. Duncan looked like a deer caught in headlights, and I instantly knew Michelle was right. “Um... well...” He trailed off. “Well what? You lied to me, Duncan. I thought we could trust each other. Why did you do the interview without telling me?” I felt tears welling up in my eyes. “May...” Duncan said, but I cut him off. “I love you. How could you do this to me?” I said, my voice going all teary. Tears running down my cheeks, I ran out of the room.

CHAPTER 7
I was halfway across the lounge, when I bashed into someone. I felt someone grab my arms to steady me. It was Lee. “May? What’s wrong?” He asked. Through my upset, I felt surprised. Why was he saying that? He should hate me! “It’s Dunc...” I sobbed. “It’s always his fault...” Lee muttered. Then he tilted up my head with his hand. “What did he do to you?” He looked worried. “He lied to me. He said he never talked to the newspapers, and then I found out he did a whole interview about us to them” I said. “What? I read the newspapers, and I thought some stupid journalist was telling lies, now I find out Dunc is helping them lie!” Lee raved. I stared at him. What was he talking about? When he stormed out of the room, he was angry at the NEWSPAPERS, not me and Duncan? Whoa, whoa, whoa! Didn’t Lee know Duncan and I were in deep? “Lee, um, the newspapers weren’t lying... It’s true. I’m with him, and Dunc lied to ME, saying he hates the newspapers, then I found out he did a whole interview!” I felt tears rolling down my face again. I expected Lee to storm off again, but he just pulled me into a hug, pulling me close. I threw my arms around him, and buried my face in his shirt. “Are you mad at me?” I sobbed, my voice muffled. “At your relationship with Dunc?” Lee questioned, stroking my hair gently. I nodded. “No, I’m not. I understand that you chose Dunc. I’m mad at him for hurting you, though” Lee continued. “What am I going to do, Lee?” I said. I felt like my heart was breaking. I loved Duncan so much, but I couldn’t trust people who lied to me. I mean, once I knew this girl who I thought was my best friend, but she betrayed me and I couldn’t ever trust her again. “You should forgive him, May” Lee said. “How? He lied to me, I can’t trust people who lie” I replied. “People make mistakes” Lee said. I looked up at him, wondering if he meant what I thought he meant - like me making a mistake choosing Duncan over him. “Darlin’, life is too short to hold grudges against people. You should forgive Dunc” Lee carefully wiped away the tears from my eyes. I had to smile at him calling me ‘darlin’. “And no, before you worry, I’m not angry at either of you for leaving me out. I’m happy just being friends” Lee continued. I suddenly couldn’t think of anything to say. I didn’t want to leave Lee out of this. I thought about going back to Duncan, and realised I couldn’t talk to him right now. “Lee...” I said. “Yes?” Lee answered. “Can you talk to Dunc for me?” I murmured. “How will that help you?” Lee said. “Get him to come to me” I said. “No, May. The only way you will resolve this, if you make the first move” He said. “But I can’t...” I cried, feeling desperate tears well up in my eyes. “If you love him, you’ll go...” Lee said, and looked into my eyes. I must have looked desperate, because he sighed. “Ok, I’ll go speak to him. You stay here, honey” Lee lead me over to the couch, and sat me down. “Thank you” I gave him an innocent smile. “The only reason I said yes, is because I can’t resist you, darlin’” Lee said, before walking out. I smiled, and waited patiently. Lee came back in a few minutes later. “He’s coming, sweetheart. I hope I talked some sense into him. Stupid newspapers, honestly” He said. Then he leant down on the floor in front of me, and put his hands on my legs. “May, listen to me, ok,” Lee said. I looked at him. “If you ever need to talk, I’m here for you. I still love you, no matter what. But you want to be with Dunc, and that’s fair. I’m here as a friend, ok?” Lee continued. I nodded, and he gave me a hug. Then he left the room. I closed my eyes, and breathed deeply. “Princess?” I heard Duncan’s voice say. I opened my eyes, trying to hide a smile at him calling me Princess. That was such a sweet nickname. “Dunc” I said. He sat down next to me on the couch. Hesitantly, he took my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine. “Baby, I’m sorry for the whole newspaper thing. I was just so happy about our relationship I had to tell someone” Duncan said. I looked straight into his eyes. “Then why did you lie to me about it?” I asked. Before Duncan could answer, I continued talking. “Because if you’d told me the truth in the beginning, I would have been fine with it” I said. “I’m sorry” Duncan said again, his voice going softer with every word. He looked decidedly ashamed. I waited for him to continue. Finally, he looked down and let go of my hand. “May, I’m so ashamed of myself. I don’t even feel like I should be with you. I don’t feel like I deserve to hold your hand or be near you” Duncan said, his eyes aimed down. I shook my head in disbelief. Without saying anything, I tilted up his head. “I don’t deserve to-” Duncan said, but I cut him off with a kiss. I softly kissed him, taking his hand, and intertwining our fingers. When we pulled apart, I looked into his eyes. “I don’t care anymore, Dunc... I don’t care that you told the newspapers... I just want you, and that’s it...” I breathed, giving his hand a quick squeeze. Duncan’s eyes lit up and he managed to smile. “You forgive me?” He asked. “Yes” I replied, gently running my fingers through his hair. I loved how his entire face lit up when he smiled. “Good...” Duncan trailed off, and kissed me again. This kiss was much harder, much more passionate then the last few. Our tongues played at each other’s, as Duncan let go of my hand and wrapped his arms around me. I found myself sliding my arms around his neck, and giving in completely to his kiss. As we kissed, Duncan gently pushed me backwards till he was on top of me on the couch. He pulled away and looked into my eyes deeply. We kissed again, and it was a lingering kiss. “May, what’s your biggest fantasy?” Duncan breathed. I ran my hand down his back slowly while I thought. I gazed up into his eyes and wondered whether I should say my thoughts. Would Duncan think I was weird? “Dunc, this will seem really ridiculous…” I trailed off. “Nothing’s ridiculous, baby… not after what we’ve done” Duncan replied. He started unbuttoning my jacket, which I still had on. “Well… it involves you and Lee…” I said, softly. I looked down, feeling foolish. This was going to sound really stupid. “Go on…” Duncan whispered. He tilted up my head so I was looking into his eyes and slid my jacket down my arms. “No… it’s stupid” I muttered. “No, it’s not. I’ve asked you your fantasy, and I want to know” Duncan took my jacket off completely. “You and Lee. Together” I continued. Duncan looked at me, and I knew I shouldn’t have said it. What he said next surprised me. “Really, princess? I’ve dreamt of being with a guy… if a girl wanted me to” He said. “Seriously?” I asked, looking at him carefully to see if he was joking or not. “Seriously” Duncan nodded. He ran his hand up the side of my shirt. I had always thought that the image of two guys kissing was totally sexy. Now I was going to see it for real. “Baby doll, why don’t you go get Lee and bring him back here?” Duncan suggested. I went to get up, but he kissed me. I temporarily gave into his kiss, wrapping my arms around him. But then he pulled away from me. I got up, and shakily walked through the house, looking for Lee. I could not believe I was going to ask Lee this. I found him in his room. “Lee?” I asked, softly. “Yeah? What’s up?” Lee looked up from what he was doing. “Dunc asked me what my biggest fantasy was… and I told him it was seeing two guys together… you and him” I said, swallowing deeply. I expected Lee to think it was stupid, but he smiled. “We were waiting to see when you’d bring this up” He said, getting off his bed. Without another word, he walked out, in the direction of the lounge. I followed him, my heart pounding furiously. When I came into the lounge, Lee and Duncan were sitting together on the couch. “Baby, I guarantee you won’t be able to keep your hands off us when you see this” Duncan grinned. As I watched, they started kissing. It was the hottest, most sexiest thing I’d ever seen in my life. It was my fantasy and I was living it. Duncan was right… I couldn’t bear to not be a part of it. I went over and leant down next to them. I placed my hands on their legs, as they kissed. I couldn’t take my eyes off them now. Duncan broke their kiss and smiled at me. “Come in between us, baby” He said. I crawled in between them, sitting on their laps.
[Hehehehe, sorry! I'm such a tease. I stopped it right in the middle of the good bit! You'll have to wait till next time to see what happens. |
